
Two years after facing trial, Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi was acquitted from the assault case, which was registered with the Santacruz police in 2015. The Bandra metropolitan court on Monday observed that the evidence provided against Pancholi were not conclusive enough to prove him guilty.
Pancholi was charged with assaulting a bouncer outside a nightclub in March 2015. He was out on bail after paying bail amount of Rs 50,000 and since then he was going through a legal trial.
In March 2015, Pancholi, who was accompanied by his friend at a nightclub in Juhu allegedly assaulted a bouncer of the club with his cell phone. He was arrested and a case was registered against him. But he was released on cash bail. Police reports say that Pancholi was under heavy influence of alcohol and over an issue of music being played by the DJ in the club.
