Telangana TDP has finally voted for Maha Kutami against KCR regime. T-TDP has voted for the grand alliance with CPI and Congress. While seat-sharing would be discussed in the later stage, the three parties have agreed to forge a pre-poll alliance to take on ruling TRS.
TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, T-TDP state president L Ramana and CPI leaders have confirmed the grand alliance. They stated that they have all united to bring down KCR for the benefit of Telangana people. Given that TDP had got first in 15 seats and stood second in 21 seats in 2014 when TRS wave riding high and Congress won in 21 seats then, the two parties expect that their collaboration would give tough competition to TRS.
The Maha Kutami leaders have earlier met Governor ESL Narasimhan and demanded Governor rule in Telangana. They raised suspicion that free and fair elections wouldn't be possible if KCR continues as caretaker CM.
