Koffee With Karan:Rajamouli says if "Baahubali" was made in Hindi, he would have cast Deepika Padukone in Anushkas role

Director SS Rajamouli, actors Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati graced the couch of Koffee With Karan on Sunday and as expected their epic film series 'Baahubali' (Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion) remained a recurrent topic of discussion with the host Karan Johar.

During the famous rapid fire round, Karan Johar asked Rajamouli that if he were to cast Hindi film actors in 'Baahubali' who would he have taken in which role. While the director said that Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone would have been best suited for Devasena's role (originally played by Anushka Shetty) he simply refused to replace Prabhas (who played the titular role) and Rana (he played the villainous Bhallala Deva) with anyone else.

Earlier when asked to name their favorite actress from Bollywood, both Prabhas and Rana took Deepika's name. Prabhas was also asked about the dating rumors about him and Anushka Shetty, which he categorically denied saying, "Anushka is just my friend."
