Actor Anushka Sharma and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli have returned to Mumbai post the ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales and hit the gym as part of their fitness routine. The actor shared videos from the gym on her Instagram stories as she pumped some iron.

Sharing a video of herself lifting weights, she wrote, “Lift it like a pro.” She can be seen performing squats while lifting weights in another video. Another video shows Anushka doing some stretches with a dumbbell in one hand.

Virat, too, shared a combination of three videos from his weightlifting session and captioned it, “Hard work has no substitute.”

Netflix recently announced Anushka’s next project titled Mai -- one of its five original upcoming series. The series will revolve around a middle-aged woman who finds her ferocity in the underworld when she accidentally kills a notorious mafia leader. How she is pulled deeper into the criminal and political underworld with the growth of her cult will form the crux of the story.

Mai has been written by Atul Mongia, Tamal Sen, and Amita Vyas. Anushka is producing the Netflix original under the banner of her production house, Clean Slate Films, which she founded with her brother Karnesh Sharma.

Turning down rumors of taking a break from work, Anushka had told Hindustan Times in an interview, “Being a producer, I anyway have my hands full, we are doing some interesting work. We have been producing shows for streaming platforms, a film too. Those are things that also require my time, and in my case, it’s very different. I am an actor at the same time. There are things that I do behind the scenes, which obviously people are not going to be privy to.”

Anushka saw three film releases last year including her home production, Pari. She was also seen in Sui Dhaaga opposite Varun Dhawan. Her last film was Zero, in which she played a wheelchair-bound NASA scientist with cerebral palsy. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, who played a dwarf. Katrina Kaif was the other female lead in the film. However, it turned out to be a disappointment at the box office.

Says a source, “Tara Sutaria has been signed on to play Ahan’s love interest in the film. Milan met Tara and felt she was apt for the role.”

Confirming the news, Milan says, “The right casting is critical, especially, in a debut film. Sajid and I took our time to cast the lead opposite Ahan. We’re glad we waited as Tara is the apt choice for an important role. It is essential for the leads to have crackling chemistry, which both of them do.”

Tara, who already has two releases this year — Student Of The Year 2 (May) and Marjaavan (October), gave her nod to the project instantly. The source adds, “The role is exciting and intense with shades of grey. When she got to know how layered her character was, she agreed to come on board.” The film is being readied for release in the first half of 2020.

Now as per reports in a portal, Salman Khan will be replacing Pakistani singer Atif Aslam in the superstar's upcoming home production Notebook. Khan has asked his production house to do so with an immediate effect and the song will be re-recorded with a new singer in a couple of days. An official announcement from the team of Notebook is yet to come on the decision.

It's been more than 3 weeks and there's no stopping Uri: The Surgical Strike at the box office. This latest Bollywood action thriller based on Indian Army's valiant surgical strike on Pakistani terror camps in 2016 is minting money at the ticket windows.

Until Monday, Uri collected Rs 189.76 crore domestic nett. The film is having a good run at the box offices across India, and will enter the Rs 200 crore club by this weekend. This Vicky Kaushal starrer has been directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Four movies tested their luck at the US box office this Friday. Two of them are Telugu films. But only one of these films which carried a decent pre-release buzz emerged as a winner at the US box office.

Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero' opened with a lukewarm response from the audience. The critics slammed the film for its lack of logic. 'Zero' movie raked only $1M by the end of its first weekend. The movie is gearing up to end up as a dud at the box office. Varun Tej starrer 'Antariksham 9000 KMPH' opened with a mixed response from the audience.

Released as the first ever space thriller in Tollywood, 'Antariksham' failed to live up to the expectations because of its overdramatic storyline. The movie made collections of $ 275 K by the first weekend and the distributors will face nearly 2.5 crores loss. Sharwanand's 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' collected $ 200 K only in the first weekend. The trade declared that the distributors won't be able to recover the expenses.

On the other hand, 'KGF' emerged as a winner and is scored big. The movie opened on a positive note and collected $62K on Thursday, $59K on Friday, $102K on Saturday and $80K on Sunday. Overall, the first weekend collections of 'KGF' is $300K.

Director SS Rajamouli, actors Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati graced the couch of Koffee With Karan on Sunday and as expected their epic film series 'Baahubali' (Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion) remained a recurrent topic of discussion with the host Karan Johar.

During the famous rapid fire round, Karan Johar asked Rajamouli that if he were to cast Hindi film actors in 'Baahubali' who would he have taken in which role. While the director said that Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone would have been best suited for Devasena's role (originally played by Anushka Shetty) he simply refused to replace Prabhas (who played the titular role) and Rana (he played the villainous Bhallala Deva) with anyone else.

Earlier when asked to name their favorite actress from Bollywood, both Prabhas and Rana took Deepika's name. Prabhas was also asked about the dating rumors about him and Anushka Shetty, which he categorically denied saying, "Anushka is just my friend."

The trailer of Ranveer Singh starring 'Simmba' is out and being the remake of Young Tiger's 'Temper' the trailer is a lot different from what we have seen in the Telugu version.

Unlike the Telugu film, the protagonist's character in 'Simmba' is inspired from Ajay Devgn's 'Singham' movie and the trailer also starts by showing few highlights of the film. It's a surprise move to link 'Singham' and 'Simmba.' A child 'Simmba' aim is to become a cop and finally, he becomes one.
