Narasimha Reddy has done a stunning business on its first week in the release centers across the globe. Reportedly, the movie has collected a share of over Rs 100 crore, which is indeed a big achievement. The Chiranjeevi starrer has joined the league of Telugu movies in the prestigious 100-crore club. Importantly, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has turned out to be the eighth Telugu movie to join the list. Baahubali


Baahubali was the film that introduced the elite club to the Telugu film industry. The film, which released in 2015, enjoyed a stellar run in theatres, all across the globe. The SS Rajamouli directorial did strong business in North India as well.

Khaidi No. 150 


Khaidi No.150, which marked Chiranjeevi's comeback to films after a long break, did a commendable business in theatres. The movie, which released in 2016, emerged as a strong hit at the box office and marched to the 100-crore club within no time. The film is expected to have collected a share of Rs 102 crore in its final run.

Baahubali 2 


Baahubali 2, which released in 2017, was bound to break all the box office records and it rightly did so. The biggest-ever hit in the history of Telugu cinema is not only the proud member of the 100-crore share club but also is the topper in the list by miles.

Rangasthalam 


Rangasthalam, the Ram Charan starrer, directed by Sukumar, was a film that won both critical and commercial success. The movie emerged as the first film of Ram Charan's to go past the 100-crore share mark at the worldwide box office.

Bharat Ane Nenu 


Bharat Ane Nenu, which released in the same year which year, had a dream run at the box office. Saaho, the big-budget venture of Prabhas, went on to make an entry to the 100-crore club in the first week itself. The Hindi version of the film also did a good business.

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Bharat has made an opening collection of Rs 42.3 crore, becoming Salman’s biggest Eid opener.

Actors Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat had a festive release, hitting theatres on Eid 2019. The film witnessed the fourth highest opening of all-time in India. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures.

Bharat is now the fourth highest opener ever and second biggest opener of 2019 after Avengers Endgame which made Rs 53 crore on its first day. Prior to that, Akshay Kumar’s Kesari held the second slot on the list of highest Bollywood openers of 2019.

Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan, which released on Christmas last year, holds the slot for highest Bollywood opener ever in India with a collection of Rs 52.25 crore on the first day of its release.Bharat also emerged on top from all Salman films, toppling 2015 Diwali release, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo from the top slot, which had earned Rs 39.32 crore on day one.

Earlier reports also suggested that Bharat had a record advance booking. The film registered Rs 24 crore in advance booking as the film opened on Wednesday, June 5. Hollywood action film Avengers: Endgame recorded the highest advance booking of Rs 49.62 (Hindi and English version in Hindi markets, without South India) while Avengers: Infinity War is at the third spot with Rs 29. 14 crore. Bahubali: The Conclusion ranks second with Rs 37.53 crore and Thugs Of Hindostan is at the fourth slot with Rs 26. 27 crore advance booking. Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai stands at the fifth slot with Rs 24.76 crore earnings in advance booking.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also stars Tabu, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi. It is an official remake of Korean drama An Ode to my Father.

Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Ajay Devgn's film gets 25% occupancy on opening day

Out-and-out comedy film Total Dhamaal has finally hit the screens on Friday. The film has an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Fox Star Studios, Ajay Devgn films, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Sri Adhikari Brothers, and Anand Pandit.

As per a Box Office India report, Total Dhamaal has got an occupancy of 25% which is pretty decent. The movie's target audience is families and especially kids as it revolves around the jungle safari. Many Anil and Madhuri fans are also looking forward to their collaboration after almost two decades. Talking about the screen count, the film has a total of 3700 screens in India and 786 is overseas.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted about the same stating, "#TotalDhamaal screen count...India: 3700Overseas: 786Worldwide total: 4486 screens opened well in mass circuits... Metroplexes are decent... Biz at plexes should grow in evening shows when the family audience, generally, turns up."

On the other hand, when trade analyst Girish Johar was quizzed about the movie's performance in terms of box office, he replied, "It is a film toplined by some of the biggest stars of the industry and is mass-appealing in nature. So, I am expecting it to take a good start at the box-office."

Total Dhamaal is the third installment in Dhamaal franchise. The first part Dhamaal was released in 2007, while Double Dhamaal hit the screens in the year 2011.

When Rajkumar Hirani joined hands with Ranbir Kapoor to make a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, the idea sounded intriguing.

The film got largely good reviews but looked like a 'whitewash' exercise to clean up Dutt's image.

Nonetheless, audiences gave this one a thumbs up and the film emerged as an all-time blockbuster.

Padmaavat

Box office collection: Rs 302.15 crore


Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus may have been the biggest grosser of the year had it not had a fractured and delayed release.

Thanks to controversies plaguing the project, the film did not see an all-India release and needed police protection in its early days.

Still, audiences braved up to the theatres and ensured that Bhansali's labor of love with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapur paid off.

Simmba


Box office collection: Rs 225 crore (expected)

The Rohit Shetty-Ranveer Singh combo paid off in a big way and, as things stand today, a lifetime total in excess of Rs 225 crore is a given.

2.0 (Hindi)

Box office collection: Rs 190 crore


Shankar's 2.0 was in the making for a long time and saw quite a few delays before its release.

But when it did come out, it did so in style. The Hindi version took off in a big way and grew from strength to strength.

While Rajinikanth remains a major drawdown South, Akshay Kumar ensured that the film fared well in the Hindi-speaking belt.

Baaghi 2

Box office collection: Rs 166 crore


Everyone knew Baaghi 2 would open bigger than the first installment and enter the Rs 100 crore club.

But its fantastic start made everyone sit up and take notice.

Tiger Shroff, who had two flops behind him (Munna Michael and A Flying Jatt), producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Ahmed Khan broke box office records.

Badhaai Ho

Box office collection: Rs 138 crore


On a regular Friday, a film like Badhaai Ho would have made a lifetime revenue of Rs 40 crore.

But this Amit Sharma film crossed the Rs 100 crore benchmark and emerged a huge blockbuster.

It's clearly Ayushmann Khurrana's year as far as experimental cinema goes.

Stree

Box office collection: Rs 130 crore


Like Badhaai Ho, Stree could have had a lifetime revenue of Rs 40-50 crore and be declared a success.

But this Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer broke all barriers to emerging as the highest grosser ever in the horror-comedy genre.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK, Stree is a blockbuster.

Raazi

Box office collection: Rs 124 crore


Raazi is the highest grossing female-centric film ever made.

Producer Karan Johar and director Meghna Gulzar ensured that audiences were glued to the suspense drama right through.

Amazing performances by the cast, especially Alia Bhatt, also helped.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety

Box office collection: Rs 109 crore


After the success of the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, the team of director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh got together to entertain the audience all over again.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was a pleasant surprise since it also drew in the family audiences.

Gold

Box office collection: Rs 105 crore


If Gold had not released alongside Satyameva Jayate, it could have covered a larger distance.

Akshay Kumar gave his heart and soul to this sports drama, directed by Reema Kagti.

It was a story waiting to be told and, though the film went past the Rs 100 crore mark, it deserved a larger audience.

Raid 

Box office collection: Rs 103.07 crore


Ajay Devgn had just one release in 2018 and he scored a century with it.

Raid was a well-made film and director Raj Kumar Gupta ensured that he took a step ahead of his earlier film, No One Killed Jessica.

Based on a real-life story, this film got interesting every time Devgn came face-to-face with the antagonist, Saurabh Shukla.

Four movies tested their luck at the US box office this Friday. Two of them are Telugu films. But only one of these films which carried a decent pre-release buzz emerged as a winner at the US box office.

Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero' opened with a lukewarm response from the audience. The critics slammed the film for its lack of logic. 'Zero' movie raked only $1M by the end of its first weekend. The movie is gearing up to end up as a dud at the box office. Varun Tej starrer 'Antariksham 9000 KMPH' opened with a mixed response from the audience.

Released as the first ever space thriller in Tollywood, 'Antariksham' failed to live up to the expectations because of its overdramatic storyline. The movie made collections of $ 275 K by the first weekend and the distributors will face nearly 2.5 crores loss. Sharwanand's 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' collected $ 200 K only in the first weekend. The trade declared that the distributors won't be able to recover the expenses.

On the other hand, 'KGF' emerged as a winner and is scored big. The movie opened on a positive note and collected $62K on Thursday, $59K on Friday, $102K on Saturday and $80K on Sunday. Overall, the first weekend collections of 'KGF' is $300K.
