Tax Exemption For NTR! Whats The Point?

Upcoming Release NTR Biopic Movie:

Buzz is that AP Government would offer Tax Exemption for NTR Biopic made by Nandamuri Balakrishna. Yet again, These speculations have led to the debate - 'Does NTR Biopic Deserve Tax Exemption?'.

Earlier, TDP Government offered Tax Exemption for 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni'. The Ruling Party in AP faced criticism for denying Tax Exemption for another historical subject 'Rudramadevi'. Contrary to that, TDP Govt had voluntarily offered Tax Exemption for 'Mahanati'. And now, There is a high possibility of Tax Exemption for 'NTR' as well. This gives an impression if the Tax Exemption is only meant for films starring Balakrishna & those projects produced by TDP Loyalists.

NTR might be a biopic but it's a commercial film which managed to get highest pre-release business in the career of Balakrishna. Where is the need for offering Tax Exemption for such a movie?

TDP Government should offer such incentives to content-driven Low-Budget Films if it's really serious about the development of the Film Industry in Andhra Pradesh. Already, Nandi Awards controversy raised questions over the credibility. Better if the situation doesn't deteriorate from bad to worse!
