Top Collection: Top Ten Grossed of South India in 2018

South Indian movies have been well received across the industries and there are some big grossed among the released films in 2018.

The Top Ten grossed of 2018 according to collections are as follows

Rajnikanth and Shankar's sci-fi movie with Akshay Kumar as the villain is made with Rs. 540 crores (budget) and collected 710 crores (gross), till now. The movie seems to be a safe project with cumulative gross but there are many areas that ended up in loses.

Sarkar 

Second biggest grosser is Sarkar which is made on Rs. 115 crores (budget) and collected Rs. 257 crores (gross) and  Rs.139 crores (share). Vijay proved to be increasing in popularity every day.

Rangasthalam 

The Telugu movie starring Ram Charan, Samantha collected Rs. 238 crores cross for Rs. 127 crores share. It is made on 65 crores budget and proved to be the first major box office success of Sukumar after Arya.

Bharat Ane Nenu 

Mahesh Babu starrer came after two big disasters from the actor and collected Rs. 210 crores gross and Rs. 105 crores share. It is made by Koratala Siva with Rs. 70 crores budget.

Kaala

Superstar Rajnikanth's Kaala with Pa. Ranjith ended up being a commercial failure as it is made with budget Rs. 135 crores. It collected Rs. 168 crores gross and a share of Rs. 85 crores.

Aravindha Sametha 

Jr. NTR and Trivikram Srinivas came together for the first time and the movie ended up being an average. It is sold to Rs. 92 crores and collected Rs. 86 crores share from Rs. 155.7 crores gross.

Geetha Govindam 

The movie became one of the biggest hits and surprise hits of the year. It made Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna as stars. The movie collected Rs. 126 crores gross and 70.1 crores share over a budget of Rs. 14 crores. This is the most profitable movie of the year.

Gang 

Suriya's Pongal release collected Rs. 95 crores gross from Tamil and Telugu markets. It is made on 50 crores budget and collected Rs. 48 crores share.

Agnyathavasi 

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas third movie ended up being the biggest disaster in South Indian cinema. It collected a gross of Rs. 93 crores and a share of Rs. 57.5 crores. The budget of the movie is Rs. 90 crores and it is sold for above a  total of Rs. 128 crores.

Naa Peru Surya 

Allu Arjun's first commercial flop in recent years released with huge hype. The movie failed to collect more than Rs. 92 crores gross and a share of Rs. 53.8 crores. It is made on a budget of Rs. 65 crores.

Nawab, Mahanati, Chinababu, Bhagamathie, Kayamkulam Kocchunni, Abhimanyudu, Vada Chennai, Seema raja, 96 movie, Saamy Square complete the Top 20 list and we have to see how 21st December releases perform and if there are 28th December releases, we need to take them into account as well.
