Hrithik Roshan reveals father Rakesh Roshan is diagnosed with throat cancer

While the industry is seeing happy times with so many weddings taking place, it also has a trying time since one after another, celebrities are getting treated for something or the other.

It all began with Irrfan Khan being diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor, followed by Sonali Bendre Behl fighting metastatic cancer. Soon after Rishi Kapoor announced he is going on a break and speculations are still rife that the actor has cancer, especially after Neetu Kapoor’s cryptic post. Mithun Chakraborty got hospitalized, thankfully only due to chronic back pain. The latest we hear from Hrithik Roshan is that his father is diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (cancer) of the throat.

A proud son, Hrithik Roshan flaunted how his father was an inspiration despite the struggle by sharing a photo of them on Instagram and writing, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. . Love you Dad.”

Hrithik’s sister Sunaina Roshan is a survivor of cancer and she has been a constant inspiration for the actor and their father. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

 Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan have collaborated on many projects, right from his Bollywood debut with ‘Kaho Na… Pyar Hai’ to making the Krrish franchise a fad among the young kids. Krrish 3 was expected to go on floors this year but any development happening soon is unlikely.
