Movie News: Great honor to work with Amitabh Bachchan in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, says, director

Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a small role as Chiranjeevi’s mentor in Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Amitabh has wrapped up shooting for the film.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be soon playing a cameo in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, has completed shooting for his portion in the highly anticipated project.

On Saturday, director Surender Reddy took to announce that Amitabh Bachchan has wrapped up his portion in the film.

“It’s a wrap with Big B. What an amazing and incredible journey it has been. Thank you, sir, for being part of Sye Raa. Working with you was such a great honor,” Reddy wrote.

In March last year, Amitabh joined the sets of the film. Hours before landing in Hyderabad for the shoot, he wrote on his blog that he’s thrilled to be part of this project.

“Dear friend Chiranjeevi, that majestic superstar and icon from the world of Andhra and Telugu cinema, requests for a guest appearance in his magnum opus, on a most valiant period character that he portrays, and I agree. So, am off to begin its shoot in Hyderabad in a few hours,” he wrote and shared his look from the film.

In the film, Amitabh is believed to be playing Chiranjeevi’s mentor. This will be his second Telugu outing after playing a very brief role in Vikram Kumar’s Telugu romantic drama Manam.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which chronicles the epic story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, also stars Nayanthara, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu among others in important roles.

On Saturday, Sudeep took to Twitter to share an emotional post. He wrote: “10 years post shoot of Rann, I get to share the screen with this huge icon and a legend once again, and who’s spent most of his life serving cinema and entertaining us. Thanks, Sye Raa, Ram Charan and @DirSurender for having gifted me these moments.Thank u @SrBachchan sir for your loving gestures.”

He had shared the screen with Amitabh after a decade. The two had previously worked together in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rann.
