In a video with Karthikeya, Chiranjeevi might be seen sharing a mask with a mustache print thereon. This happens after Karthikeya is seen twiddling with his mustache within the video (without a mask). Chiranjeevi was heard saying 'Please wear a mask' by the top of the video.

In a similar video, Chiranjeevi also asked Eesha Rebba to wear a mask. She was seen applying lipstick, post which Chiranjeevi appeared, and showing her the way to wear a mask, he threw one at her. They gave one another a thumbs up after wearing the mask.

Directed by Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and his fight against the British for independent India.

The film, produced by Ram Charan on a budget of Rs 275 crore, also stars Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Nayanthara.



On signing the project, Chiranjeevi had said it was his long-time desire to play a historic character.

“It has always been my dream to play Bhagat Singh. Despite being offered the role back then, I couldn’t play it for several reasons and it was later played by several of my counterparts. It was played by several actors across languages. I regret missing out on an opportunity to play the role because I don’t think anyone wants to make a film on him today,” Chiranjeevi said.

The film, which was also released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, has music by Amit Trivedi. Originally, AR Rahman was signed for the project but he opted out citing lack of time due to other commitments.

A well-known shot of Chiranjeevi is where he comes out on his horse after hiding in the bushes, only to kill his enemies. The megastar was full power in that scene, and the makers of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy have once again unveiled a new still from the film which exhibits as much power as the scene.

In the new still, Chiranjeevi, who plays the role of Narasimha Reddy, sits on his horse and rocks the warrior avatar. He carries two bloodied swords along with him and a dagger around his waist. Talking about horse riding, the megastar, at the teaser launch held in Mumbai, revealed, "The make-up took one hour. Action sequences were the difficult part. I already have a bad shoulder, I got it operated. Riding the horse was hard. But I believe in hard work, and I cherish it. By 7:00 am we started shooting, so I used to get up at 4:00 am, work out for an hour and then start working on the film."

There is buzz everywhere already that after consulting the likes of Anushka, Nayantara and Aishwarya Rai, the makers of Megastar Chiranjeevi's next film are setting down with Kajal Aggarwal. That marks the second collaboration between Chiru and Kajal, and one wonders how far this is true.


A source pretty close to director Koratala Siva has rubbished these reports, saying that they have never approached Kajal Aggarwal in the first place. As the subject demands some heroine with a star status and a commanding demeanor, Koratala is said to be tossing his option between Anushka and Nayantara, as Aish turned quite expensive. But Kajal never suits the role as she is known more for glamorous avatars, the source commented.

With Chiranjeevi working with both Nayantara and Anushka for his upcoming release Sye Raa, Koratala Siva is a bit worried about casting one of them again opposite the Megastar.
