Zero may have been a box office failure and even panned by critics but Katrina Kaif is ‘happy that it happened’. In a recent interview, she has said working with director Anand L Rai has helped her learn a lot.
Katrina Kaif says she’s glad that she did Zero because Aanand L Rai helped her learn a lot.
Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif, who is gearing up for the release of her next with Salman Khan - Bharat, has said that working on Aanand L Rai’s Zero helped her understand emotions - both positive and negative - deeply. Zero, that also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, proved to be a box office dud and was widely panned by critics.
“Aanand sir was very specific. He was able to guide me with an emotional scene so beautifully. He would encourage me to reach deep within to bring the needed emotions to the fore. In Zero, for me, it was a world that Aanand sir and I discussed and discovered so deeply. When I got on set, he pushed and helped me to stay in the zone, which was required. That is what I would have hoped for. And I am happy that it happened. Such experiences and encouragement from a director have helped me evolve as an actor. I have definitely started to understand more of the craft. Eventually, this is what every actor wants. We all want to constantly grow at work. And, if someone somewhere makes a note, it makes the whole process worthwhile,” she added.
