Ace badminton player PV Sindhu is the latest to find a biopic being made on her. Just like Saina Nehwal's biopic was in news for casting, which changed from Shraddha Kapoor to Parineeti Chopra, the PV Sindhu biopic is also buzzing due to speculations about the cast.

News reports stated that Samantha Akkineni would be casted in the lead role. She was on a roll with Super Deluxe, Majili and Oh Baby! release all gaining critical acclaim. Samantha, who is currently vacationing in Ibiza for her father-in-law Nagarjuna's extended birthday, is unaffected by the news.

According to India Glitz, Samantha has so much so as not been approached for PV Sindhu biopic, which is being bankrolled by actor Sonu Sood and will resume shooting for 96 remake in Telugu. The original movie starred Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.

On the other hand, Hindustan Times quoted the badminton champion rooting for Deepika Padukone. "Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then the makers would take the final decision and I trust their decision," said PV Sindhu.
