The creme de la creme of Bollywood showed up at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Mumbai reception at Grand Hyatt on Saturday.

The Bachchan family lead the celeb roll call at the party. Amitabh Bachchan made a grand entry with his wife Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who arrived without Abhishek and Aaradhya.

In a video that has surfaced online, Ranveer can be seen grooving on the dance floor along with Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan to ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’ from his film 'Dil Dhadakne Do'.

The third edition of the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018 transpired last night in the city. The award nights are known to commemorate beauty and glamour of Bollywood. With the who’s who of tinsel town marking their fashionable presence on the red carpet, the show also saw some stunning performances by Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, and Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Red carpets can be a tough nut to crack and the B-townies pulled the plug last night, bringing their A-game to the fore. While some stuck to red carpet safe choices, others went on to experiment with their style. The usual stunners who failed to woo us with their red carpet offerings included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The ladies went on an experimental overdrive with their stylists and conjured up looks that came across as a tad boring and kitschy!

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Kareena chose a Prabal Gurung color-blocked gown featuring shades of pink, a halter neckline, and cuts on the side. A subtle makeup, courtesy makeup artist Subbu and a sleek hairdo, courtesy hairstylist Yianni Tsapatori rounded out her look. We hate to say this but the side cuts, the ill-fitting skirt and the colors fail to flatter the stunning persona of our Begum Jaan!


Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018 - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Styled by Aastha Sharma, Aishwarya chose a bright red sparkly Atelier Zuhra gown. Sleek hair, courtesy hairstylist Franco Vallelonga and a makeup of intense eyes with bright red lips, courtesy makeup artist Mickey Contractor rounded out her look. While we applaud Aishwarya’s efforts to choose a bold red color, we wish she had chosen to elevate the look with an equally stunning hairdo and makeup! The same old sleek hair and bright red lips are a tad boring!


Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018 - Taapsee Pannu

Styled by Devki Bhatt, Taapsee chose a Fouad Sarkis sparkly black rose and silver gown with metallic strappy heels. Chunky jewelry from Outhouse, an updo and bold lips rounded out her look. The gown seemed like a valiant attempt to pull into its fold all that’s in vogue – off shoulders, voluminous silhouette, high low hemline, ruffles. We wish Taapsee had chosen something else than this overtly experimental ensemble!

Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Neha Dhupia spotted on their way to Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai after party.

The who’s who of Bollywood headed to Karan Johar’s house for the after party to the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 20th anniversary celebrations, which took place in Mumbai on Tuesday. Pictures from the event (and a video from inside the bash) have been shared online.

Several Bollywood stars who were present at the celebrations - Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, directors Ayan Mukerji and Zoya Akhtar, and Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Gauri Khan were spotted on their way to Karan’s house.

In one video shared from inside the party, we can see Sanjay feeding cake to his daughter, Shanaya, as Karan hugs him from behind. Sanjay Kapoor’s birthday is on October 17. You can watch the video here.
