Govinda sir duping Karisma to form her believe that he's not a coolie, is funny. It’s not about him cheating. Ultimately, he falls crazy together with her, and that’s what most folks anticipate to in life.”

Sara also said that her skills as a comic book performer shouldn’t be compared to those of her parents -- Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. “I am not as spontaneous as my dad or my mother. The story of 'Coolie No 1' is just too silly as a railway coolie falls crazy with an upscale girl whose dad aims to marry her to a richer businessman. The confusion comedy crammed with double meaning dialogues and slapstick humor could be liked by some but not everyone.

The only grace aside from its richness is Sara Ali Khan's stunning glamour.
