ONE NOTORIOUS INTERSTATE DACOITY GANG LEADER OF MUMBAI WAS ARRESTED BY HYDERABAD CITY POLICE AND SEIZED RS 6 LAKHS WORTH GOLD.

Sleuths of Hyderabad City Police consisting of South, East Zones Task Force and Charminar Police nabbed a notorious interstate dacoity gang leader Amjad Khwaja Ameen Shaik @ Amja aged about 41 years of Thane, Mumbai and seized 6 lakhs worth gold and other gems connected to the Petlaburz Dacoity Case occurred in the first week of this month.

PETLABURZ DACOITY CASE:

On 6th March at about 1.10 PM 10 membered gang committed dacoity of 3.5 Kags Gold and other ornaments on the point of knives by wearing masks in one Nithai Das Gold ornaments making unit which is being there since Dec. 2015. In a broad daylight that too in the heart of the old city this daocity happened and became sensational.

Since long time this type of offense is not taking place in Hyderabad City the Director General of Police and Commissioner of Police Hyderabad City took this very seriously and directed concerned police to detect the case as soon as possible.

EFFORTS :

Total 17 teams were formed including South and East Zones Task Force Teams and 2 Technical teams to nab the gang. All the Efforts were based on the Technological aspects. Hyderabad City Police explored all technical applications to detect this case.

Detected in 48 hours:

With the technical approach, Hyderabad City Police identified the accused and confirmed that this dacotity was done by Mumbai interstate dacoity gang.

KINGPIN OF THE GANG ARRESTED: 

Total 10 members were involved in this bacoity and the kingpin of the gang Amjad Khwaja Ameen Shaik @ Amja was arrested and seized 6 lakhs worth gold and other gems and pearls from his possession. 

Modus Operandi 

In this gang, the active members of the gang chosen will recce the place will get well versed with the topography and geographical area like entries/exits and collect information about the transports such as Bus and Railway services available there.Recce members stay in that locality and fix the date to commit the offense.

After fixing the date of the dacoit, they directly come to the offense place in three to four groups and after the commission of the offense, they again divide into similar groups and disperse from the place by different means of transport and at last will get assembled at one place far away from the offense place. After that, the robbed booty will be sold at Mumbai, Gujarat.

RECOVERY OF THE PROPERTY IS MEAGRE (IN PREVIOUS CASES): 

They were involved in so many cases of dacoity, robberies, and extortions and looted the large booty but the recovery by the concerned police from them was a tough task. Other state Police even not recovered minimum property from them due to their diligent and diverting tactics.

HIGHLY LITIGANTS:

To avoid the interrogation, they engage permanent advocates. Soon after the arrest they file the Habeas Corpus petitions /WRIT petitions /missing cases in the courts as well as they approach the Human Rights Commission etc., They always speak utter lies and they and divert the police by all means to avoid recovery. 

The complicity of inmates:

The dacoity member who was well versed with this kharkhana and done recce was not arrested yet.After his arrest, only the complicity of inmates of petlaburj gold ornaments making unit will be known. The owner of kharkhana Nitai das main office in Mumbai is nearer to the accused residence.

NEXT COURSE OF ACTION

Hyderabad City Police took it as a challenge and deputed 5 teams including 2 Task Force team to nab the remaining accused persons to recover the booty. Progress will be intimated to press.
