Here's Why Hyderabad Turned Pink

The stage is all set for the grand gala plenary of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) which is scheduled to take place on Friday (Apr 27, 2018). The city of Nawabs has turned pink with flexes, hoardings, unipoles have been filled with the posters, banners of KCR and the promises, achievements of his government. The plenary will mark the TRS' foundation day.

About 12,000 to 13,000 representatives, including MLAs and ministers, are expected to take part in the plenary. A senior TRS party leader said the plenary may also chalk out the roadmap for the "non-BJP non-Congress front" idea being mooted by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Meanwhile, KCR's daughter and Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha too indicated the same more or less.

"TRS would discuss the current political situation in the state and the country and accordingly would decide the future course of action reflecting the mood of the people of the state," said Kavitha.

Meanwhile, unlike last year, the top brass of TRS has decided not to hold any public meeting in April 2018. Last year, while the plenary was held in Kompally on April 21, a public meeting was organized in Warangal on April 27. But this time, KCR said to have told the party leaders to conduct such public meeting in October or November 2018 ahead of 2019 general elections. So, this plenary meet at Kompally would be confined to delegates of the party. Above all, the food menu is also one of the major highlights of the plenary.

Formed in 2001, TRS came to power in Telangana in June 2014 after the bifurcation of unified Andhra Pradesh.
