The makers of John Abraham-Diana Penty starrer upcoming film Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran have released the teaser of the film which looks like an edge-of-the-seat thriller that will make every Indian proud. It's just a month away from its release. Going by the teaser, Parmanu looks like a true India Shining story, which will release on May 25, 2018.
Taking the thrill several notches higher, the makers released a short teaser of the film on Thursday. A pacey narrative that opens with an intriguing docu-drama treatment, the teaser chronicles key milestones in Indian history, touching upon one of the most covert, significant yet underplayed event- our Nuclear tests at Pokhran in the year 1998.
Talking about the film, the producers reiterated: “Parmanu is a human story of the kind of intensity not seen often. What makes this edge-of-the-seat thriller special is the fact that we are recreating a moment in Indian history that we are so proud of- our Nuclear tests at Pokhran done against all odds. It salutes the efforts of the Indian Army and scientists who worked so closely to ensure that India finds its due place in the world nuclear map. What we hope that the audience takes home is not just the experience of a pacey and edgy plot-line but also a sense of takes for our country and its twin pillars of strength- Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan!"
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film stars John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani.

Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran is an ode to the Indian army and scientists, who although ordinary people, accomplished truly extraordinary feats in the face of adversity. It salutes, celebrates and truly embraces the slogan- Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan. While the premise of the film is based on true events, the characters are fictitious.
