Rs. 2 Crores Paid For Basavatarakam Role?

Nandamuri Balakrishna is determined to make NTR biopic a classic at any cost.  He didn't lose his hope after Teja walked out.  He roped in one of finest directors Krish on whom he has immense faith.  There is a huge buzz surrounding the film after Krish entered the project and the regular shoot kickstarted. 

Updates regarding the various characters are coming out on a regular basis and they are creating positive buzz on the film.  It is known that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has agreed to play the role of NTR's wife Basavatarakam.  There are reports in the media that Balayya paid a special visit to Vidya Balan's home in Mumbai and personally requested her to take up his mother's role.  That shows how particular Balayya is regarding Vidya Balan. 

Now, there is another update regarding Vidya Balan is doing rounds in the media. Vidya Balan reportedly charged a bomb for signing the film.  Though her character length is comparatively less, she has reportedly charged a whopping Rs. 2 crores.  But the makers and Balayya were readily agreed because they clearly know the nation-wide popularity of the National Award-winning actress and the charm she would bring to the film with her presence.

'NTR' team is presently busy shooting in a set erected in Ramoji Film City.   The makers are planning to release the film on January 9, 2019.
