Career Best For Deva, Second Best For Das!

'Devadas' managed to fetch career-best opening for Akkineni Nagarjuna. For Nani, Day 1 revenue of this multi-starrer stood second best in his career. Overall, Makers are pleased with the promising collections of this Thursday release.

As per trade circles, 'Devadas' collected a Worldwide gross of Rs 12 crore on Day 1. No other film starring Nagarjuna managed to achieve an opening on part with it. Whereas, 'MCA' continues to be Nani's career best with a First Day Gross of Rs 15.5 crore. While 'Nenu Local' collected Rs 9.70 crore, 'Ninnu Kori' managed Rs 10.20 crore on Day 1.

Theatrical Rights of 'Devadas' were sold out for Rs 38 crore. Area-wise Day 1 Collections: 

Nizam: Rs 1.45 crore
Ceded: Rs 73 lakh
Uttar Andhra: Rs 58 lakh
East Godavari: Rs 39 lakh
West Godavari: Rs 26 lakh
Guntur: Rs 53 lakh
Krishna: Rs 33 lakh
Nellore: Rs 19 lakh. 

While Theatrical Business touched Rs 30.15 crore-mark in Telugu States, Day 1 Share is only Rs 4.56. Overseas Rights were sold for Rs 5.05 crore and recovery is around Rs 75 lakh. While Karnataka rights were purchased for Rs 2.02 crore, Rs 1.20 crore was generated on Day 1 itself.
