Ghantasala Biopic: Here Are Some Interesting Details See

After the super success of "Mahanati", a biopic on legendary actress Savitri, there comes the biopic season of Telugu personalities, with films on actors like NTR, a political leader like YSR and sports star Pullela Gopichand being rolled. 

While #NTR and #Yaatra are already underway, Sudheer Babu will start Gopichand's film very soon. And there comes another biopic now, which will unravel the story of legendary singer and composer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao aka Ghantasala. 

Writer Ch Rama Rao who published the book Ghantasala Patasala after doing an enormous research on the musical genius is now going to direct a film based on the singer's life. Guess what, singer Krishna Chaitanya and his real-life wife Mrudula are going to play Ghantasala and his wife on the silver screen respectively.

Born in 1922 in Gudivada, Ghantasala became a huge name in Film Industry as playback singer and also composer. Before that, he participated in Quit India Movement and went to jail for 18 months. He was awarded Padma Sri in 1970 for his enormous contribution to the field of arts.

Trivia is that legendary NTR's debut film "Mana Desam" where he played a small role of an inspector, marked the debut of Ghantasala as a music director.
