Stop It, Pawan Kalyan!

Pawan Kalyan's continuous rants about life threats indicate two things. One Pawan wants to gain clear political mileage out of these claims and the second one is obvious to defame the ruling party. The whole episode of Pawan's repeated claims is raising several doubts about Pawan's credibility. And it is also exposing his bland claims.

A day after Pawan alleged that a few men have tried to kill him and stated that he is aware of who is behind this, Pawan yet again alleged that a few have tried to attack him in the late night. In a fresh Pawan claimed that TDP leaders are resorting to attacks on him and this is the return 'gift' he got it from TDP for making them win in 2014.

Linking these to the 2014's victory of TDP-BJP combine takes away all the steam. It is clearly evident that Pawan is politicizing the issue.

Earlier in May during his 'Porata Yatra' in Srikakulam, Pawan had made similar allegations. He had alleged that a few TDP leaders in Palasa had tried to attack him with contract Goondas on the night of 22nd May 2018. Pawan had then alleged that TDP leaders had intentionally cut down the power late night in his area and tried to attack him. And Pawan is back again with the same old allegation now as well.

Let's assume that there was some truth in Pawan's allegation. But why did Pawan and his party leaders have conveniently let go of this issue? Neither a written complaint nor an oral complaint is given to police.

The same Pawan Kalyan who had earlier advised Sri Reddy to go to the police to resolve the issue has now taken 'media' route. This is certainly to gain sympathy in public and wants to tarnish the ruling party's image by blaming them.

"As Pawan couldn't take on TDP directly, he is making baseless allegations at the behest of BJP and YSRCP leaders," commented a senior TDP leader asking Pawan to lodge a police complaint if he is truthful.

On the whole, Pawan's repeated rants of life threats are seen as a meager strategy to gain some votes in the coming elections. Will Pawan's plan work?
