The Fire broke out first in the 'Andhra Bank stall' at exhibition due to short circuit and then it spread to 30 other stalls quickly. There were more visitors at the exhibition than usual.

Several visitors at Numaish got injured due to stampede after fire-break. Due to heavy smoke, many visitors suffered suffocation. GHMC enforcement teams arrived at the location. Power supply to the incident area was held to avoid more damage and visitors were sent out. The Assembly to Nampally road has been temporarily closed.

A massive property loss is estimated and the stall owners are blaming the fire department for not arriving at the spot on time even after they were informed about the fire accident. Most of the damaged stalls belong to plastic and cloth merchants.

More than 40 thousand visitors coming out in minutes after fire break led to traffic issues in Nampally area. Most of the visitors were sent back to their places on Metro trains, many without a ticket too.

Update: More than 300 stalls were burnt to ashes in this fire accident and about 40 Crore rupees worth property got lost in fire.
