Other day the trailer of another upcoming film of Nayanthara got launched and as usual most of the guests have shed crocodile tears for the producers, expressing pity for their status as starlets like her are not coming to press meets.
As the trailer of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was launched yesterday evening, there were brickbats for Nayan's absence at the event. And then, we have senior actor Radha Ravi who tried to insult the starlet basing on her real life, her personal life more precisely. "She acts as a devil and ghost in Tamil movies, but in Telugu movies, she will appear as Sita. In our days they will cast only actresses like KR Vijaya for such roles, but today anyone can do those roles whatever their character may be" said Radha Ravi, indirectly digging at her personal life.
He went on saying to not compare Nayantara as a superstar with other superstars like MGR or any other Tamil superstars in that matter. And then he stated that Tamil people have the quality of forgetting everything easily, taking yet another jibe on Nayan's personal life. While these worst comments got many claps at the event, on the internet, people are criticizing the senior actor.
On the other hand, the trailer of Kolaiyuthuri Kaalam sounded impressive with Nayan playing a deaf and dumb girl stuck in a palatial castle somewhere in the UK where some unseen force is murdering people. While such stories are not new, seems like director Chakir Toleti of Billa 2 fame executed it quite well.
