Latest Report: Tamil actor Vijay gifts gold rings to 400 crew members on successful completion of Bigil

Actor Vijay, who will be seen as a football coach training women’s team, has presented all the team members a gold band after the completion of the film.



Tamil actor Vijay has gifted gold rings to nearly 400 crew members on the successful completion of his upcoming Tamil sports-based action drama, Bigil.

The news first broke out on social media on Tuesday late evening and since then has been going viral. Reacting to the news, Archana Kalpathi of AGS Cinemas, the makers of Bigil, tweeted: “Bigil has a team of 400 members working in the film every day. Our Thalapathy made it extra special by valuing each and every individual’s contribution today. This token of affection coming from him made everyone’s day.” She further went on to reveal that 95% percent of the shoot is complete and post-production is underway in full swing.

Bigil, which is gearing up for release this Diwali, marks the third collaboration of director Atlee with Vijay after Theri and Mersal, which were blockbusters. Nayanthara plays the leading lady.

Vijay will be seen playing a local rowdy as well as a football coach in the film, which has music by AR Rahman. Vijay underwent special training to get under the skin of the coach’s character. He leads a women’s football team. To shoot a pivotal portion of the film in a football stadium, the makers spent a whopping Rs 6 crore and erected a stadium. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles.

Rahman, in a recent interview, said that he hasn’t worked in the film’s genre in India and that’s what makes the project exciting for him. “I have done this genre in Hollywood but this would be the first time in south India. Atlee is a fan of my films like Lagaan and Pele. He’s heard these soundtracks and he is musically very passionate. I enjoy working with such director who gets involved in music composing,” Rahman said in an interview to a popular entertainment portal.

Latest Update: Vikram Hasnt Learned His Lesson


Chiyaan Vikram is undoubtedly one of the star heroes in the south industry who commands a massive fan following. The actor loves to change his look and appear in a completely different way in each of his films.

The actor has already undergone some shocking transformations for movies like 'Pithamagan', 'Aparichitudu', 'I', 'Inkokkadu' etc. Initially, the audience was also excited to see Vikram in interesting looks but after sometime, the people got vexed and most of his movies are ending up as disasters at the box office. Despite scoring 5 back to back debacles, Vikram hasn't changed his mind and is still opting to appear in yet another different look in his upcoming film. Vikram joined hands with director Ajay Gnanamuthu who previously helmed movies like 'Demonty Colony', 'Imaikka Nodigal' etc.

Recently the first look poster of Vikram-Ajay movie got released. The poster of this yet-to-be-titled film showcases Vikram in different looks which disappointed the fans. The poster has been receiving a mixed response from the audience.

Jyotika and Revathy’s next film said to be an action comedy, has completed its shoot. See pictures from its wrapping up party.

The shoot of Jyothika’s upcoming yet-untitled action comedy with director S Kalyan has been successfully completed. The team had a wrap party to celebrate the occasion.

The film, which had its customary launch in February, also features veteran actor-filmmaker Revathi along with Yogi Babu and Anandraj. Vishal Chandrasekhar has been roped in to compose music. The film, produced by actor Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, has been planned as a summer release.

Last seen playing a hapless housewife chasing her dreams to be independent in Kaatrin Mozhi, Jyothika has managed to complete shooting for two projects in quick succession. Her other project, in which she plays a school teacher, with debutant director S Raj has also been completed recently.

Ever since she made her acting comeback with 36 Vayadhinile after a hiatus of close to eight years, she has been hand-picking women-centric projects. A lot of credit must go to her husband Suriya, who has been supportive of her decision to don the grease paint again. In a recent interview, asked about the kind of support she gets from her actor-husband Suriya, Jyotika said, “Suriya gives me the freedom to explore and has always stood by me. We always discuss the scripts that come way but he never interferes in my decision. In fact, he encourages me to take up more projects. We have a good understanding of each other as we made our careers together.” Jyothika will soon begin shooting for a yet-untitled Tamil film with her brother-in-law Karthi in the direction of Jeethu Joseph.

Breaking News: Sri Lanka Blasts : Miraculous Escape For Raadhika


It was a miraculous escape for actress Raadhika Sarathkumar who has escaped unhurt from Sri Lanka's serial blasts that claimed the lives of 185 people and injured over 400 people. Radhika was in Sri Lanka today on a work. She had stayed at Cinnamon Grand. After she wrapped up her work, she came out of the hotel.

After a while, the blast at Cinnamon Grand has taken place leaving many dead and several injured. Shocked with the incident of blasts, Raadhika explained how she escaped from the deadly explosion.

"OMG bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, god be with all. I just left Colombo Cinnamon grand hotel and it has been bombed, can't believe this shocking," Raadhika took to Twitter to express the shock.

Her husband and actor Sarath Kumar also stated, "A dastardly act of terror unleashed in Colombo is condemnable, our heart goes out to innocent lives lost in the attack @TamilTheHindu @ThanthiTV @bbctamil."

According to reports, the blast took place at around 8.45 AM as Easter Sunday masses were in progress. Raadhika might have escaped but several innocent people have died and many were severely injured.

Flash News: Tamil Actors Worst Comments On Nayanthara


Other day the trailer of another upcoming film of Nayanthara got launched and as usual most of the guests have shed crocodile tears for the producers, expressing pity for their status as starlets like her are not coming to press meets.

As the trailer of Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was launched yesterday evening, there were brickbats for Nayan's absence at the event. And then, we have senior actor Radha Ravi who tried to insult the starlet basing on her real life, her personal life more precisely. "She acts as a devil and ghost in Tamil movies, but in Telugu movies, she will appear as Sita. In our days they will cast only actresses like KR Vijaya for such roles, but today anyone can do those roles whatever their character may be" said Radha Ravi, indirectly digging at her personal life.

He went on saying to not compare Nayantara as a superstar with other superstars like MGR or any other Tamil superstars in that matter. And then he stated that Tamil people have the quality of forgetting everything easily, taking yet another jibe on Nayan's personal life. While these worst comments got many claps at the event, on the internet, people are criticizing the senior actor.

On the other hand, the trailer of Kolaiyuthuri Kaalam sounded impressive with Nayan playing a deaf and dumb girl stuck in a palatial castle somewhere in the UK where some unseen force is murdering people. While such stories are not new, seems like director Chakir Toleti of Billa 2 fame executed it quite well.

Watch video: Vijay protects fans from falling fence at a Chennai university, is hailed a real-life hero

Actor Vijay saved his fans from a falling fence when he visited a university in Chennai. Check out the video.


Actor Vijay has proved that he is not just an onscreen hero and can protect fans in real life too. In a video that has surfaced on internet from the sets of his upcoming untitled film, Thalapathy 63, he is seen rushing to protect fans from a falling fence.

Vijay was shooting the film in SRM University in the outskirts of Chennai where several fans had rushed to the spot to get a glimpse of the star. Vijay can be seen waving at his fans, who went into a frenzy when he stepped closer and pushed the metal fence they were standing behind. Initially, Vijay is seen astonished but soon gathered his senses and rushed to stop the fence from falling.

Vijay is shooting for Atlee’s film opposite Nayanthara in Chennai. He is reportedly playing Michael, the coach of a women’s team and 16 women will star as sports players in the film. He recently underwent training by a special physical trainer to get into the skin of the role.

The film, being produced by AGS Entertainment, was launched in November 2018 in Chennai and the shooting began in January this year. It also stars Kathir, Yogi Babu, nd Vivek in crucial roles.

Nayanthara, who was last seen in the hit film Viswasam, is working with Vijay for the second time after Prabhudeva directed, Villu. Vijay on the other hand was last seen in AR Murugadoss’s Sarkar.

Arya and Sayyeshaa Saigal wedding photos are going viral online.


Actors Sayyeshaa Saigal and Arya tied the knot in Hyderabad on Saturday. They hosted a grand wedding dinner which was attended by several South actors such as Karthi and Suriya.


Shivaay actor Sayyeshaa Saigal, the grandniece of veteran actor Saira Banu and daughter of actor Shaheen, tied the knot with Tamil actor Arya at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace on Sunday. The two got married in the presence of family and close friends.

Sayyeshaa looked beautiful in a traditional red and golden lehenga with bridal jewelry for her wedding whereas Arya complemented her in a black and golden sherwani-salwar.


A few pictures from the wedding show the newlyweds posing for the cameras with several South actors. Suriya Sivakumar, Karthi, and filmmaker Rajsekar Pandian attended the wedding and later posed together for pictures.
