Salman Khan is ready to donate Rs 10.50 crore to daily wage workers at a later stage.

After pledging to financially support 25,000 daily wage workers from the movie industry , Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has now reportedly donated Rs 4.80 crore and would transfer the quantity within the workers' account after the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) provides him with their account numbers.

However, this is able to mark only the primary leg of Salman's donation as he's ready to donate Rs 10.50 crore to daily wage workers at a later stage.

BN Tiwari, president of FWICE had previously confirmed that Salman via his Being Human Foundation reached bent their organisation to assist the workers. "Salman’s Being Human Foundation has come to the fore to assist daily wage workers. They called us three days ago. we've about 5 lakh workers out of which 25,000 are in dire need of monetary help. Being Human Foundation said they're going to lookout of those workers on their own. they need asked for account details of those 25,000 workers as they need to make sure that cash reaches them directly," he had told PTI.

Apart from Salman, Akshay Kumar had also donated Rs 25 crores to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s coronavirus relief fund. When asked about his donation, Akshay had said, "Main kaun hota hoon ‘charity’ yah ‘donate’ karne waala? (who am I to donate or make any charity?)”. Doosri baat ki hum apni country ko Bharat Maa kehte hain. Mera yeh contribution actually mera nahi hai. Yeh meri maa ki taraf se Bharat Maa ko hai. (We address our country as Bharat Maa. So this contribution isn't from me. it's from my mother to my motherland, Bharat Maa)."
