After Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket, his wife Sakshi Dhoni took to her Instagram page and penned a heartfelt note for her husband. She posted a photograph of Dhoni looking into the sky and quoted Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you probably did, but people will always remember how you made them feel." Sakshi also wrote about what proportion she is pleased with Dhoni's achievements.

Her post read as "You should be pleased with what you've got achieved. Congratulations on giving your best to the sport. I'm pleased with your accomplishments and therefore the person you are! i'm sure you want to have held those tears to mention goodbye to your passion. Mahendra Singh Dhoni shared a video message to motivate people to exercise their right to vote. He made none other than his Daughter Ziva to make the public realize the importance of using the power of voting. In an adorable way, Ziva appealed: 'Go and vote just like Mumma and Papa did'.
