Current News: Know All About KCRs Dream Project "Kaleshwaram"

At a time when construction of irrigation projects takes a decade, the Telangana government has completed ninety percent of Kaleshwaram project in just three and a half years of time. This is the largest lift irrigation project and is considered an engineering marvel. During its construction, Kaleshwaram has created many records and in another 48 hours, it is getting ready for inauguration.

For decades Andhra and Telangana regions have had water allocation issues. Telangana CM KCR took personal care about this project and he was behind it every minute from its inception. With an aim to provide water to 40 Lakh acres in Telangana, this project is redesigned by KCR himself. At the juncture where Godavari and Pranahitha rivers meet is Medigadda and at this spot, Kaleshwaram project is constructed. Here the water will be lifted in six phases and will be moved to Kondapochamma Sagar which is above 618 meters. Three barrages, 15 reservoirs, and 20 lifts will form Kaleshwaram and the cost estimated for the project is Rs 80,000 crore.

The length of Kaleshwaram gravity canal is 1531 kilometers while the length of tunnels is 203 kilometers and there are a total of 82 pumps. With the help of the project, every day two TMC of water can be lifted and it requires 4992.47 MegaWatts of electricity while for three TMC of water, it requires 7152 Megawatts of electricity. six 400 KV and 220KV substations and many other electric infrastructures were arranged for the power supply to lift the water.

The package eight of the pumping station is something very important here. It has a gigantic underground pumping station with 7 units, each having a capacity of 139 MWs. With this pump, water will be lifted to 111 meters. In the seven units, each pump capacity is 1.86 lakh horsepower. This pump house is situated between Nandi Medaram Bridge and Mid-Maneru reservoir.

From Medigadda, water will be pumped daily to Annaram, Sundilla, Sri Paada Yellampalli. With Kaleshwaram, Sriram Sagar project will get water and projects like Nizam Sagar and Singuru will also get water. The construction of barrages at Annaram, Sundilla are almost completed while the mid-Maneru which has the capacity to hold 25 TMC of water is also ready.

However, the Mallanna Sagar barrage that has the capacity of 50 TMC of water is yet to be complete. The construction of this barrage delayed due to land acquisitions and court orders.

The Telangana government has set up a photo gallery at the project site which shows various phases of the project construction. The officials claim that the people could reach in large number to witness this mega project.

Political News: Modis Rythu Bandhu Rs 4000 Per Acre

The fall of BJP in the 5 states Assembly elections have hit Narendra Modi and Amit Shah duo so hard. In order to tackle growing opposition within BJP and outside BJP, Modi and Shah are coming up with a strategy to get close to agrarian community which accounts for large population in the nation.

As part of the move, Modi is all set to follow KCR's Rythu Bandhu scheme, Farmers' Investment Support Scheme (FISS). Buzz is that a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) would be announced very soon by Modi government. Rs 4000 per acre would be transferred directly to farmers ala KCR's Rythu Bandhu scheme in Telangana. The cash transfer would be made in two seasons. In addition to the Direct Benefit Transfer, zero percent Crop loan up to Rs 1 Lakh per farmer in two-phases could be availed.

It is learnt that this would cost a whopping Rs 2 Lakh Crore to the Centre for money transfer and another Rs 28,000 to Rs 30,000 Crore for interests towards zero percent-crop loans. Overall, this would cost Rs 2.3 Lakh Crore to public exchequer. Ahead of 2019 general elections, Modi's move to win the hearts of farmers to be ascertained and how the nation receives it.

Meanwhile, the Centre has called quickfire meetings at the PMO (Prime Minister's Office) as well as in NITI Aayog to finalise the announcement which is likely to be made within this week. In this process, officials of nodal ministries -agriculture, revenues, expenditure, chemical and fertilisers, food have been asked to meet informally for better coordination and thus to avoid any unwanted confusion, differences. On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi is going to meet farmer leaders to discuss the proposals.

Congress MLCs Meet KCR, Triggers Panic In Congress

Even as Congress is yet to overcome its recent defeat in Telangana elections, here comes another shocker for the party in the state. Two of its MLCs including its party whip is all set to cross over to ruling TRS. What's interesting is that the party whip and MLC Akula Laitha, who had tried to complain against defected MLCs to Chairman Swamy Goud, is now jumping into TRS.

Congress MLC and whip Akula Lalitha has met CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan and congratulated him on his victory. It is buzzed that stage is all set for Akula Lalitha's entry into the Pink Party and muhurat is also fixed. However, when asked about her joining into TRS, she neither confirmed nor denied. She told media that she just came to Pragathi Bhavan to wish CM KCR.

Here is the twist in the tale. Just a day before she met KCR, Akula Lalitha along with Opposition leader of Telangana Legislative Council, Shabbir Ali and MLC Santosh Kumar had planned to meet Chairman Swamy Goud to complain against Congress MLC K Damodar Reddy who jumped into TRS.

However, Swamy Goud was on leave on Wednesday as his close relative passed away. With this, Congress legislative council team decided to meet Swamy Goud on Thursday and complain against Damodar Reddy. But Swamy Goud couldn't return even on Thursday as he was in Bengaluru. That's when Shabbir Ali, Akula Lalitha and Santosh had decided to meet him on Friday to complain against defected MLC Damodar Reddy.

But all of a sudden, Akula Lalitha and Santosh have met KCR separately on Thursday and decided to jump into TRS.

What happened behind?

Akula Lalitha happens to be the close relative of TRS leader, Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Nethi Vidya Sagar. Vidya Sagar was the one who said to have held the talks for Lalitha's entry into TRS. Along with Vidya Sagar and government whip Palla Rajeswar Reddy, she met KCR. Lalitha had recently contested on Congress ticket in Armoor against Jeevan Reddy and lost in his hands. Her joining into TRS is now shocking Congress seniors.

Meanwhile, Congress MLC Santosh Kumar has also met KCR at Pragathi Bhavan along with Karimnagar Mayor Sardar Ravindar Singh, Corporation chairman Koleti Damodar and personally greeted KCR. As Santosh's MLC term is likely to end soon, he said to have got assurance from that he would be made MLC on TRS party.

TRS MLCs Bhupathi Reddy, Yadava Reddy, Konda Murali, Ramulu Nayak have recently campaigned for Congress in the state elections. TRS chief whip had complained against them to Chairman Swamy Goud and Swamy Goud has sent notices to them. Looks like, Congress MLCs are jumping into TRS to get elected as TRS MLCs.

Amidst speculations that 10 out of 12 Congress MLAs would jump into TRS soon, the meeting of two MLCs with KCR has triggered a panic among Congress senior leaders.

Telangana News: Telangana Cabinet: KCR Grabs Harish Seat?

With K.T. Rama Rao being sworn-in as the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the path to the helm has been cleared by his father and Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao. These indications may definitely have an impact on KCR's Cabinet as it will have KTR's chosen candidates, say TRS sources.

According to inside reports, K. Chandrasekhar Rao's meetings on irrigation projects and Mission Bhagiratha, soon after his swearing-in, have happened without Harish Rao, who was Irrigation Minister of Telangana in KCR's former Cabinet. Harish Rao has been widely appreciated for his ardent work on Telangana's irrigation projects and has extensive knowledge of these projects. The meeting without Harish Rao has raised several eyebrows.

TRS sources say that KCR is keen on retaining the irrigation portfolio while the Cabinet may be chosen by KCR's son, KTR. Additionally, KCR's visit to Kaleswaram on Tuesday which was canceled due to bad weather also did not include Harish Rao. Inside reports indicate that there is growing unrest among Harish Rao's followers as he is being sidelined by KCR's family. While they are just watching the developments taking place in the state after elections, even Harish Rao seems to have stunned by these happenings.

With such a treatment of Harish Rao by KCR's family, his followers are already crying foul over their leader getting a raw deal despite being the one with a huge following. These developments may prove costly for the TRS if Harish Rao chooses to part ways with his uncle. Only time will tell the consequences of this tale!

Target KCR & Modi If You Can!: Bandla Ganesh

Bandla Ganesh, who has been maintaining low profile since the defeat of Mahakutami, gave an exclusive interview to a News Channel recently. He claims to have remained silent for 10 days respecting the people's mandate in favour of TRS.

Mojo TV Staff followed Bandla Ganesh by holding 7'o Clock Blade in their hands for the sake of publicity. When quizzed about it, The Congress Leader told: 'Such things really hurt Me. Are they trying to make their livelihood on Me? All the Topbrass Leaders including Modi, KCR, Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi speak so many things to motive the party leaders and cadre. It's like they are provoking Me to commit suicide. Does they have the guts to behave in a similar manner with Modi & KCR?'.

#DongaDorikada hashtag on Social Media: 'I felt bad with the way I was trolled on social media. If I say I would slit say throat, How could they comment Donga Dorikada? Victory or Defeat is quite common. Even NTR, Chandrababu Naidu & KCR has tasted defeats. Though I had made many comments on TRS, None of its leaders issued a statement against Me even after the victory...That's their character! My Children got hurt with the negative campaign against Me. It has come to the stage that money has been earned on dead body. Why are they making it a big issue? Just because I am not so powerful. KCR told TRS will win 100-plus seats. Before 2014 Polls, He pledged to cut his head if he fails to make a Dalit, CM of Telangana. Modi asked to shoot him if he fails to weed out black money in the country within 50 days. Harish Rao told he would work in TDP Office if Chandrababu Naidu offers letter in favour of Telangana Statehood. Does these people have the courage to behave with KCR & Modi in a similar manner?'.

Wishes: Congratulations Anna: AP Minister Wishes KTR

A Tweet placed by AP Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya after the results of Telangana Assembly Polls 2018 were announced by Election Commission has gone viral. What is it all about?

Akhil Priya tagged KTR to convey greetings - 'Congratulations Anna on your historic win'. This post arrived when TDP Leaders and Nandamuri Camp were left devastated with the shocking result.

Interestingly, A Netizen only hoped to see Akhila Priya wish YS Jagan in a similar manner after 2019 General Elections.

Generally, Any other Minister in the cabinet of Chandrababu Naidu would refrain from tweeting in such a way to a TRS Minister. Akhila Priya might have reacted in that manner as she is an accidental politician. This First-Time MLA is yet to get used to the rule book of TDP. Did Akhila Priya wish to see the defeat of Mahakutami in Telangana? What would be the reaction of Chandrababu Naidu to the tweet of Tourism Minister? Wait & See!
